About The Montgomery Foundation

The Montgomery Foundation began as the Montgomery Arts Alliance which conducted art experience and art education programs at Montgomery Fest and other public events. In August of 2014, the Montgomery Arts Alliance broadened its scope and purpose to become The Montgomery Foundation. On January 10th of 2015, the board of Directors was expanded and new corporate officers were elected.

Mission and Purpose

The mission of the Montgomery Foundation is to seek out innovative programs that will benefit the residents of Montgomery and find ways to fund them. Our funding goal is to provide enabling funding, not ongoing funding. With one exception, we are interested in ongoing student scholarships either as a bequeath or funded in other ways.

The Source of our Funds

We raise funds through community events, memorial donations, bequests, corporate and personal donations and application for various grants and contributions. As a 501(c)(3) recognized charitable organization, we will also entertain tax deductible gifts of real property which can then be deployed as the Board sees fit to the betterment of Montgomery including the possibility of a community center or facility to encourage and nurture the performing and visual arts.

Information about our 501 (c)(3) Tax Deductable Status

The Montgomery Foundation is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2016, or 2522.
